It's been a while...

... but rest assured we’ll be playing live and recording again soon!
Granted, it may have taken a little while for us to regroup and write new material. But the songs are here now and the urge to head back on the road is spreading like a burning fever. And, of course, with Tjirk back on guitar, our line-up is complete once again. There you go, I said it: the second oldest Volunteer, the prodigal son, the bender of Fenders has returned in our midst. And frankly it feels like he has never left. We are a fivesome once again.
To all guitarists who applied for the job: thank you very much for your e-mails, we were thrilled to see so many guys and girls out there Voluntering for the job. One guy even offered to move to Rotterdam, how about that? We’re sorry that it didn’t work out, but, as a great man once said, “Nothing feels better than blood on blood.”
We have a couple of tour dates coming up in the near future, here’s the schedule:

Right now we’re busy practicing the new set. This February we’ll head out to Reyns joyous little studio to start the recordings of our upcoming album. Can’t wait! Speaking of which: as a small token of our appreciation for your patience we’ve recorded one of the new tracks at our headquarters. Here’s what happening: We’re going to have to get up pretty early this Friday in order to catch the ferry to Terschelling. Why? Because El Pino will be playing a couple of exclusive shows at the upcoming Oerol festival! Here’s why you shouldn’t miss out: In addition to the usual suspects we’ll play a bunch of brand new El Pino songs. These shows will mark the debut of our latest addition to the EPTV line-up, Job Roggeveen, on Rhodes and melodica. And Tjirk is coming along as well, effectively completing the line-up!
Our mighty van’s battery is fully charged, as are ours. Hopefully only the latter are completely drained coming Monday. :)

Well, time sure flies, we’re back already. Oerol 2008 was great! Pictures will follow, pinky promise... Tonight we’ll play three shows at De Parade in Rotterdam, with a big football break in between. The schedule: 1915, 2015 & 2230. Come on over!
